The Emirate of Sharjah

Sharjah is the third largest emirate in the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E) with an area of 2,590 km2. Sharjah’s GDP is increasingly rapidly every year which is due, in large part to the 25 - 34 year-old demographic, supporting the future demand for goods and services by providing a healthy pool of talent for new companies.

This rapid growth has contributed to its reputation as a cultural and education centre, as well as an industrial and trading hub.

More specifcally, Sharjah’s manufacturing sector is one of the most signifcant in the region, supported by 20 industrial zones and two thriving free zones. However Sharjah’s economy is well - diversified, with no individual sector representing more than 20 percent of GDP. Its beauty and strength is not just industrial, it is the only Emirate with two coastlines - one on the Arabian Gulf and the other on the Indian Ocean, noted for its picturesque land and seascapes.
